Partnership 2000

A Living Bridge Between
Northern New Jersey & Nahariya

Partnership 2000 (P2K) was launched in 1994 by the Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI) linking Jewish communities in the Diaspora with those in Israel.  An extraordinary global platform connecting 550 communities around the world in 45 partnerships, P2K is building living bridges among these communities, by sharing ideas, strengths, challenges and models of success.  The impact of these projects goes far beyond the community level—each member of the community has the opportunity to become directly and personally involved.

In New Jersey, under the auspices of UJA Federation of Northern New Jersey, Partnership 2000 links the people and communal organizations in northern New Jersey with those in Nahariya, a seaside resort town in the north of Israel. The partnership is about building relationships between the two communities via the exchange of ideas and joint cooperation and participation in different projects.  For examples of the most recent projects undertaken by the Partnership.
